陳世曄畢業於國立成功大學工程科學系資訊與應用組博士班，曾任職於國立中正大學通識中心擔任兼任講師及國立臺東大學資訊工程學系副教授兼院長特助，現為國立臺灣海洋大學資訊工程學系副教授。
主要研究範疇為人機協作系統、數位雙生技術、智慧聯網應用等主題。近年來致力於融入STEAM教學策略設計於跨領域課程及情感與認知學習之議題，於應用科學教育現場。
